Green Door Beneath Foliage

SERIES ÉTUDES AND VARIATIONS · EV08 · 2025

Watercolour on 100% cotton paper · 30 × 30 cm

This double green door, partially enveloped by foliage, explores the relationship between structure and organic growth.

The architectural frame remains frontal and stable, almost rigid. The greenery introduces vertical movement and diffusion.

Green unfolds in muted tonal variations, avoiding saturation. Despite vegetal intrusion, the composition stays centred and balanced.

This work marks a moment of controlled expansion: nature enters architecture without dissolving it. The space remains constructed.

The door remains the threshold; the foliage reveals time.
