Crimson Threshold with Ironwork
MINIATURES SERIES · M01 · 2023
Watercolour on 100% cotton paper · 15 × 15 cm
This miniature focuses on a restrained yet intense crimson door set within pale stone and crowned with delicate ironwork.
The composition is strictly frontal. There is no anecdote, no narrative context. The door becomes a vertical plane of colour, almost abstract.
In this 15 × 15 cm format, the research is distilled: colour versus structure, presence versus silence. The threshold is no longer functional — it becomes a field of vibration and stillness.
This work balances European architectural refinement with formal clarity and restraint. Detail exists, but it is reduced to its essential rhythm.
The red holds the gaze. Then releases it.
